1. Offline-First Architecture

Most modern productivity tools assume you are always connected. The moment you enter an elevator, board a train, or step into a coffee shop with weak Wi-Fi, the app spins, stalls, or locks you out.

etappi is built with local-first sync. It stores your entire database directly on your device. Every read is instant, and every write is immediate. When you reconnect, our background sync seam merges your offline updates automatically.

2. Keyboard-Driven Navigation

Reaching for the mouse takes time. Over the course of a day, those micro-context switches add up.

etappi features a rich vocabulary of keyboard shortcuts:

Press q to open the quick-add command palette from anywhere.
Press f to focus the active task timer.
Press / to search your workspace.

3. Simplicity Over Noise

We don't do infinite nested lists or bloated project boards. We focus on clear priorities: Today, Upcoming, and clear Next Actions.
