Terms of Service

Last updated: August 13, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Etappi, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service and eligibility

Etappi is a task and project management application. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. By using the service you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Your account and content

  • You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account.
  • You retain ownership of the content you create in Etappi. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service on your behalf.
  • You must not use Etappi to store or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive.

4. Acceptable use

You must not: attempt to disrupt or degrade the service, reverse engineer or decompile the applications, scrape or systematically download data outside of features provided for that purpose, impersonate other users, or use the service to harass others.

5. Availability

The service is provided on an as-is basis. We do not offer an uptime service level agreement during free or trial use.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Who you are buying from. Etappi is sold on three separate rails, and the seller differs on each.

  • On the web, subscriptions and one-time purchases are sold by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle is the counterparty to that sale, issues the invoice, and collects and remits any tax. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Inside the iOS app, purchases are sold by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms.
  • Inside the Android app, purchases are sold by Google through Google Play, under Google's terms.

Prices and tax. Prices on our website are shown in US dollars and do not include VAT or sales tax. Any tax due where you are is calculated at checkout and added to the price, and the full amount is shown to you before you confirm the purchase. Prices inside the iOS and Android apps are set per storefront by Apple and Google and may differ from the website price.

Renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. The renewal charge is taken at the start of each new period. A lifetime purchase is a single payment: it does not renew and is not a subscription.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, on the rail you bought from:

  • Web: Settings → Billing → Manage billing, which opens the Paddle customer portal.
  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
  • Android: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions.

We cannot cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription for you — only you can, in the store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it is not by itself a refund of the period you are already in.

Refunds. For a purchase made on the web, write to support@etappi.app within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. Paddle processes the refund; it reaches the original payment method. Purchases made inside the iOS or Android apps are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we have no way to refund them on your behalf.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services within 14 days. Because your subscription gives you access immediately, by completing the purchase you ask us to begin supplying the service at once and acknowledge that you lose that right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied. This does not limit the 14-day refund policy above, which we apply regardless of whether the statutory right still stands.

Price changes. We may change our prices. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and it never applies to a lifetime purchase you have already made. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price takes effect on a renewal, so that you can cancel first if you would rather not pay it.

When a paid plan ends. Nothing you created is deleted when a subscription ends, whether it lapsed, was cancelled, or a payment failed. Your account returns to the Free plan and its limits. For 14 days after that you can still edit everything, so you can decide what to keep within the Free limits. After those 14 days, projects above the Free limit become read-only: you can still open, export, and delete them, and they become editable again as soon as you are back within the limit or on a paid plan again.

7. Trials

Two different kinds of free trial exist, and they work differently.

  • A trial we grant in the app. New accounts may receive a time-limited trial of a paid tier, granted once per account. It requires no payment method and does not convert into anything: when it ends, the account simply moves to the Free plan under the terms of section 6.
  • A trial offered by a store. Apple or Google may offer an introductory free period on a subscription bought inside their app. Those are governed by that platform's terms: starting one requires a valid account and payment method on that platform, and the subscription does begin charging at the end of the free period unless you cancel it in the store first.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you materially violate these terms. On termination, your content is deleted in accordance with the retention window in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50 if you have paid nothing during that period.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are subject to the courts of Kyiv, Ukraine, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date and version number at the top of this page always reflect the current version. Continued use of the service after the new effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
